Love Always

Happy Hump Day!

I just wanted to share a qucik outfit post with my look for Thanksgiving and some
of the scene that day, including some beautiful table decor done by my aunt. I
was going to say that I skipped out to L.A. for the weekend, but it was more than
a skip. Much, much more. I drove with a couple of my girlfriends and it was hands
down one of the most excruciating experiences ever! Driving during a holiday wee-
kend is obviously not ideal, but I just had no idea...

I'll need lots of sedatives for the next time I decide to do that.

Have a great rest of your week! Christmas break from school is so close, I can taste
it. Just a few more projects, finals and papers to go and I am a free woman again!

P.S. I got a new job at Gap's Corporate offices here in SF! I'm so excited to share
some of my journey through it with you all. It's truly amazing watching your dreams
come to fruition. :)

Fashion For A Cause

Hello, hello!

This past Wednesday a few of my favorite people and I attended "The Haberdash"
a celebration of men's fashion and style, benefitting Movember, which is a men's
health campaign that raises money for prostate and testicular cancer.

The event included a men's fashion show, featuring some of my favorite men in
the Bay Area, The Artful Gentleman, along with several other brands. There was
a live band playing and full house packed with some of the Bay Area's finest -
obviously a recipe for a wonderful evening.

As for my look, I can't stop buying or wearing tops or blazers/jackets with shoul-
derpads. I know, I know shoulderpadding can be a bit much, but I can't help mys-
elf. This blazer was my grandmother's and kind of speaks to how vibrant her spirit
was and how similar our taste is. Time travel back to the 70's, anyone? Also, this
silk maxi dress from Asos is literally one of my most treaseured staples. When
wearing it, I feel so classic and feminine. Silk dresses on a woman's body is a so
divine.

Enjoy your week this week, smile a ton and laugh even more!

Sunday Style Inspiration: 15th Edition

Happy Sunday All!

I've been taking periodical "breaks" from IDTIA due to insane amounts of work at school -
we just finished midterms last week - and to pan out the future of this blog and where I'd
like to take it from here. I've been meeting and getting to know some amazing people in
SF that are just as passionate about fashion and true personal style as I am, and we've
got so many great collaborations in the works. I can't wait to share.

--

In the meantime, I've always got the most random inspiration, this Sunday ranging from
some amazing Delettrez jewelry, to street style and of course some vintage Bianca Jagger.
I've been so enamored with men's fashion lately also, and drool at the sight of women
that tamper with adrogynous looks, fusing femininity and masculinity, making them one in
the same. I've been trying to create looks based on this obsession lately, it's literally been
my greatest source of inspiration.

I hope you all have a prosperous and productive week. I've been seeing and encountering
a lot of negativity lately, and all I can say to that is to be good to each other, guys. Love
always, all ways...

Dapper

Happy Sunday, All!

In continuing with my posts on San Francisco Fashion Week, the second event I attended for
the week was the Dapperhood Men's Network Styling Launch Event. It was hosted by a duo
of extremely dapper fellas, Dario Smith and Dante Wright in the heart of downtown San
Francisco.

The duo, who make up the men's styling group, The Bellwether Project, used male models
from the week's shows and styled them to urban-tailored perfection, which resulted in an
impromptu runway show within the event.

It was another great night within the week, filled with some of the stylish men that reside
in the Bay Area.

Enjoy shots of my friends and I captured by photographers Afra Pourdad, Pete Hopkins and
Ilya Khoteev.

And So It Begins...

Hello, Hello All - it's been a while!

This past week I was given the wonderful opporunity to cover San Francisco Fashion Week for
my school's daily fashion blog, Fashion School Daily. It was a wonderful learning experience
that I will always cherish. It was a networker's dream and I've got the piles of business cards
and countless emails to prove it!

It's been such a long time coming discovering myself, honing my talents and attaining the
qualities to build myself into the best me possible and I can't tell you how great it feels to
finally be pushing forth in the right directions.

I attended five nights worth of events throughout the week, being the Opening Party, Dapper-
hood Men's Styling Launch Party and the Emerging Designers, Ready-to-Wear and Avante
Garde shows, and I'll be posting on each of the events here on IDTIA and on Fashion School
Daily.

Enjoy pictures of myself plus my superstar friends, a.k.a. "The Power Group." They are
second to none, and I'm so glad that I got to experience an amazing week with them!

P.S. I'm just about completely enamored with this beautiful dress that I found at one of my
favorite go to vintage spots on Haight & Ashbury! The drapery, the slit in the back and the fit
were perfect for the evening. The dress was so comfortable that it almost made me forget
about the unbearable pain I experience everytime I wear these shoes. (NOT!)
